Battle Buddies...

Wow been a busy month. Between getting home from my whirlwind family trip and doc appts and the normal mom stuff I have not set down or stopped long enough to blog. On a positive note...I have made a few friends and had a few kidless night outs as well. But that is not today's topic, well kinda...the friends not the night outs. I do not consider going to the gym sans kids a night out....if it involves yoga pants and water bottles not a night out. Please make sure the husbands/boyfriends/spouses/other halves get this. This is a necessary thing for Mom's sanity and to make sure we know the difference between salt and sugar when making dinner. Any questions about this please direct it to my complaint department and there is a 45 minute wait to just speak to someone and the complaint may or may not reach me.

But to the topic at hand...battle buddies. Everyone needs one or two or ten. See I have been doing this weight loss thing for a few months. I lost interest, I put weight back on, got motivated, lost interest, gained, and it was a cycle when it was just me. I made friends and I started a 30 day ab. squat, crunch challenge. 15 days in my fibromyalgia said oh no this is not for us. But I stuck with doing something I walked and I went to gym but it sucked doing it alone and I was on the verge of giving up and then poof I made a friend who is just as hell bent as I am about losing weight and I joined a beachbody 60 day challenge and low and behold I am back in the game. Hardcore, doing the hip hop abs and walking a mile a day for just last 3 days I have lost an inch!!!! No weight loss yet but it is every woman's fav week of the month and well it has been 3 days. But now that I have a battle buddy I am fired up and ready to go. Plus having to check in and post a progress report in 30 days for my beachbody challenge I am on it.

So the moral of this story is this is not a war we can fight alone. We need to have a cheering section celebrating our little victories and we need battle buddies that keep us moving when life has us wanting to throw in the towel. Now if I could only find a housework battle buddy to keep me motivated there I would be all set.

Happy Dieting!!!
