I'm Back....

And feeling better then ever. Vacation was much needed and I am feeling refreshed. I had a blast seeing everyone meeting new people and just hanging out with the family. Spending 20 days with the husband with no work texts/phone calls/video games/anime and all to myself at times was great. Still going strong with our no argument streak!!!

So we have all heard you gain on vacation because of all the fast food when we are on the road, treats, and other things we do to while on vacation. I had a goal on vacation...do NOT gain...simply stay the same as I was when I left. I left at 284.4...yeah I slipped up in May and gained again but I am still trying and I did not give up so pppbbbttt! Digressing...anyway got home late Friday night and Saturday morning I stepped on the scale...276.8....ummm wait stepped off back off, cleaned my glasses and did it again, SAME NUMBER! OK wait...let's try this one more time and YUP SAME NUMBER!!!! I lost 7.6 pounds while traveling to 3 different places, going to carnival, eating ice cream, eating what I want when I want....and still no gain. I did not work out while traveling except for 1 gym trip with a friend and that was only an hour. Even got my slice of stuffed pizza while back in Coxsackie. Now here is how I did it....I picked and choose what treats I wanted and did not indulge in all the options at my finger tips...While out for lunch with the sisters I did not indulge in the bacon cheese fries at my finger tips but ordered a salad instead. Only at 1/2 the slice of stuffed pizza and had a small salad to fill me up. It is all about a balance. Yes I had a sundae but instead of getting the large brownie sundae my brain said we wanted I got a small one...had dunkin doughnuts...but instead of the large iced latte with whipped cream and whole milk got a small iced coffee with skim milk and no whipped cream.

I started reading the next book on the research list for the summer and I am just about done and have a ton of info. I read Bethenny Franklin's book and it is really good...that blog will be up later this week and honestly my success on vacation had a lot to do with said book. But I don't want to ruin that blog and I still have a to do list a mile long so I am gonna sign off and go start the laundry that comes with the end of a vacation.

Until next time...
Happy Dieting!

Endings Suck, ummm Maybe?

End is defined as the final part of something, and also has a verb definition of bring to a final point, finish something...finished is def...
