And we are tracking people...we are tracking!!!!

WOW!! Two blog posts in a week!!! Yup, someone is finding a balance and I am working slowly on getting into a rhythm that includes writing both poetry and blogs regularly. Still have some kinks to work out...but have figured there is way to much turmoil going on in my head...so I need an outlet. Best form is a pen and paper for the emtional and if the weather ever breaks...walking again. All in good time, All in good time. But as usual I am digressing and off topic, so here goes...

So we have talked a bit here and there about calories and counting them and how to clean eat and all of that. Like a contestant said on the finale of The biggest loser, you can not out train a bad diet. It started the wheels. I am one who I track for a bit, I meal plan, and then I get bored, life happens, something deters me from doing it and I stop. Well I don't stop eating and well the body doesn't stop tracking!! Also just tracking the good stuff and approximate servings doesn't make it so!!

Something else to remember here is we are only human, there is always going to be that one thing that trips us up. A lunch meeting, a craving that just can't be beat...what you do after is what makes a failure or a simple slip up!!

Something else I noticed when I am legitimately tracking and meal planning I am ten times more likely to exercise and stay active. Now my life is far from conventional so is my exercise. Right now as I tear my house apart one room at a time purging stuff that I have no use for...this is one of my major exercise acts. Until last Thursday there was an uncertain amount of time that we would be in our current home...now I know I am here for at least another 2 years so it is time to make it my own!! Finished then kitchen last night, finishing the upstairs bathroom today, then on to the other rooms and all the planned projects. But once I get that done, I will have a workout corner in my room and room in living room to use the nifty Youtube app on the TV and the Zumba playlist I have built. WOOP WOOP!!

Now another project for this year is tighten spending. What is one area to cut?? Eating out!! So one nice meal out, with low cal, in a sit down place a pay check which equals you guessed it...twice a month. The rest of the month home cooked meals. This is one area that is not just for me, not just to set the example for my daughter...it is also to help out my husband.  He was just told high cholesterol, close to needing meds...so time to get a handle on this and hope we can eliminate that need.

Now something else I know I have mentioned before, but it bears repeating...I did not get to this weight from one meal, and one meal won't change it. So I am making efforts to change this pattern one meal at a time! I am taking time to get back into healthy meals one meal at a time and I am taking back my role as cook. So yes I still use a few processed things in my fridge/freezer. They are there for flare nights...quick meal that I can control the calories on a lot easier then ordering from Pizza Hut. Within the next week I will meal plan and coupon and grocery shopping list make for the rest of February. I am hoping the more I plan and get the new routine down, then closer we get to spring, and the weight starts coming off, the less flares. With the cut back of flares will cut back on the quick fix meals. It all goes hand in hand.

So here it is...track, track, track...If you eat it, write it down!!! Measure out the servings to track accurately. Make subtle changes and gradually take back control of the bad habits!! And as always....

Happy Dieting!!

Endings Suck, ummm Maybe?

End is defined as the final part of something, and also has a verb definition of bring to a final point, finish something...finished is def...
