Sticking with it past the first week...

Day two and having a huge issue...I AM HUNGRY!!!!  So now with $12 in the jar I am super just nope not going to mess this up!!!! I even kitchen stomped it out tonight to get the steps in!!! Anyway...I found a yummy alternative to snacking and under 100 calories, Carmel Apple Cider!! Will be buying two boxes next payday for this late night YUMMM!!

So before I completely digress, I wanted to take a moment and explain something for any new comers and new friends, I am not on a diet. Diets end, I am overhauling my lifestyle so I can lose and maintain my weight loss. So yes, I will still have a piece of cake from time to time...chocolate even. I will also find ways to satisfy my sweet tooth without actually eating something sweet, see Apple cider comment above. This is about finding that balance that allows me to be a mom, wife, and healthy eater and  cook only one meal...hell I made chicken nuggets, shells and cheese, and corn for dinner tonight! It is about a balance. I did not eat after dinner and I stayed within calorie goal...I also did a 10 minute stair workout after eating so I hit step goal.

SO with that said...staying the course!!

Now that the shiny new feel of the New Year is a little dull from the first week done and we are back to the regularly scheduled programming, how do we keep that New Year, new me...New Year better me feel?? Like a week ago gyms were packed, everybody was all this is my year, wellllll

I am guilty too!!! That has been 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015...I am losing the same 10% again...now it may not be the same cause I have lost weight before...than I found it. Apparently it was hidden in the bottom of the Pepsi and ice cream I keep saying I can eat to keep me from binge eating. Delusional party of 1, Delusional Party of 1??  Yeah about that, the only way to keep from binge eating is to stay away from what triggers and completely redefining what is a snack food for me. It has not been the easiest...I mean really I would chew off my left big toe for a Reese Cup, but I can also spread a tortilla with peanut butter, a banana, and a drizzle of dark chocolate syrup and get the same effect, with less damaging results...better calorie count as well!

This year there is a difference...I have a secret I want to share...Did you know you can only live one day at time??? You can goal set, you can list make, and you can prepare for the future but you can only live one day at a time.  I am one of those with the planners and I list make and do all of that. I also tried living a couple days at a time. A to do list on the fridge for a weeks’ worth of tasks. I would have myself so stressed and overwhelmed I said forget it. This year I have a new attitude, I have a weekly to do list in my planner...I pull it out in the morning and I write down what has to be done that day. I work through that list and typically by 8ish...I am done for the day. I do this for a reason, so that I truly focus on Just for today...coming from the OA stuff. So by embracing the just for today motto, every day is day 1! Yes, the days may pile up and a streak or two may start, but every day has the potential to be a day 1. To have that New Year feel.

I also want to take a minute here to be real, you will see me eat things that are not healthy from time to time, I will never give up my coffee and coffee creamer. I will always be that resident fat kid at times...BUT I am still giving this weight loss thing a very serious effort. Hubby mentioned something about going to the gym since he is on a detail for the next few months...so I reminded him we have the Planet Fitness membership and people who will keep Abbie for a few hours so we can do this! It is all about finding a balance.

This week’s wrap up...I should have earned $46.00, I did not. I earned $37.00 I lost $6.00 since I only got in 2 out of 5 workouts. I also lost $3.00 because I had three days without 5 active minutes! I cannot complain too much though, I finished the week with:

  •     121 active minutes
  •     18.19 miles walked
  •     43,567 steps to get us there
  •     799 ounces of water drank (That is almost 6 and 1/4 gallons!!!)
  •     From 334 to 328 pounds!!!
That is 6 pounds in a week!!!! While that is typically not safe, I   am losing fluid weight so for now I am sure I will have huge numbers for the first few weeks, than it will slip into the safe 1-2 pounds a week. 6 pounds was the goal for the whole phase so I reset the Fitbit tracker to reflect the weight loss and set the goal back at 6!

On the oils side of things, I have been doing 50% of my water with oils and stevia based flavoring in them. My current favorite blend is something I am calling wake up water. I literally stumble down the stairs, start the Keurig and start making my first cup of water. I use a stainless steel Starbucks cup filled with ice, 1 stevia based flavoring packet, 2 drops of Stress away, 1 drop of Energy, 2 drops of Slique Essence. This is 16 of 100 ounces, once I finish this cup and my cup of coffee...I refill and use the previous oils and add 1 drop of Elmi and 2 drops of Progessence Plus. I have not just felt the difference, I have seen one. I still am taking my prescriptions but I have feet and ankles again!!! I also want to add I am taking three vitamins
  1. Potassium to counter balance the water pills.
  2. Hair, skin, and nail gummies....this stuff my body is doing to itself is rough on them so I am trying to see if there is a           difference!
  3. Tumeric for added pain control. I literally take 2 prescription naproxen in the morning and the rest of the day between the tumeric and the oils, I have pain under control. I also am learning to stop around 8 and what ever will be will be and I relax. Tomorrow is another day!

The energy is getting better and I cannot sit still. I am deep cleaning and reorganizing one room at a time! My living/dining/play/office room looks amazing!!!! Tomorrow I finish the kitchen and hit the hallway and I may take the weekend to chill!!! Just focus on the laundry, maintaining, and spending time enjoying what is done. If not too cold, may even get mini out practicing on her bike.

So here is to a strong week 2!! Earning more money, but again just for today…it is day 1 cause that is all I can live at a time!

***Disclaimer:Again I am not a doctor, I can not say that you should be using the oils the same way I am!! Just sharing what is working for me and how it has been helping! If you have questions and would like to learn more please email me at Rebelhellfighter1980@gmail.com or leave a comment and I would love to chat!***

Signing off with this little nugget I discovered this week:
