DANCE PARTY!!
I hit phase two's step and mile goals YESTERDAY!! So I am in a really good head space about things at the moment. I fell short on a few goals but the main part of staying active...I achieved that. I also have lost more inches and bloat...pounds not moving like I would like, but I am working with the doc on that..
One thing I am learning more and more as we move through these phases is I am determined and I am very capable of doing whatever it is I put my mind to. This is far from easy and I am in a love hate relationship with my fitbit...I love the thing and I hate it all at the same time. It sits on my wrist taunting me all day long...It asks, are you gonna get up and move?? Are you gonna try and make goal???
And some days it wins...I do not make goal, but I am noticing there are more and more green days then blue days as of late!!! The big thing is to look at the whole picture...I am set out to average 5500 steps a day and I was averaging 5941....I am bumping to 6000 as of tomorrow!!! In phase 1 I hit goal or higher 14 out of 28 days, in phase 2 I hit goal or higher 15 days possibly 16 will know at the end of the day the definite number of days I hit goal. The point is...more days then not I WON...not the fitbit!!
Now there was also a major major MAJOR breakthrough this phase. This was the six year anniversary of my Mother's passing. Normally and for those that follow along know....I fall off, I disappear and in a couple months I post the I feel off and blah blah blah.....NOT THIS YEAR!!! I did housework, I did what I had to do. It was not easy, I struggled and I had an internal argument....I am only 5 episodes behind in the current season of NCIS!
Instead I did what I had to do and starting laying plans for phase 3!!! Here is the new goals...
- 16 or higher days hitting goal steps
- 6000 a day or 168,000 total steps at the end of 28 days.
- 2.4 miles or 67.2 miles total...THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT THE END OF THE FIRST WEEK. When I see how many miles I actually walk hitting the weekly goal of 42,000 steps.
- Keep working on the water
- Portion control and track!!
- Bring down my cholesterol (only high by 3 points) with strictly diet and exercise.
- Eat out only 1-2 times a pay period other than that 80%/20% home cooking and clean eating!!
This has truly been my year....I have not had a Reese Cup or Doritos in 192 days!! I have not had a cigarette in 169 days....I am taking control of my health and working with docs on getting my water weight under control. I am off all happy pills and have no intentions of getting them back. And even with all of this...I am still rocking a 3.8 GPA!!
I am truly motivated to finish this year stronger than I started!! So just for today I am gonna enjoy the completion of this phase. I am gonna go get the hair and eyebrows did and I am gonna stay motivated. I also am starting another challenge come Sunday...30 minutes a day no gadgets...It should prove to be interesting to spend 30 mins a day in OA lit and my bible!!
